"There is a crack a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."
Our old girl's failing health hit a low spot on Sunday...we discovered vet services are largely unattainable in times of lawless "show us your passport first, or no service"...so we were stuck. We got our wee companion to a emergency clinic - a bit weird - but relatively quick and we got some anti-inflammatories and pain killers to try, but to no avail. I tried Telegram groups, a couple Librti people, then finally tripped on a veterinarian who would help our Little Girl. The vet came from Guelph to us in Kitchener and did what was needed. Although devastating - we had the following email exchange afterward which has left me feeling hopeful and positively contemplative in these overwhelming otherwise dark times - light is shining, I just need to dig about to see it.
With that I am sharing a part of that email exchange here:

Jon and Sydney,
I was moved to tears this morning by your deeply meaningful message.
It is amazing what experiences we can have and who can enter our lives when we refuse to participate in the fear and division and choose to live in alignment with our true nature.
Thank you for being exactly what the world needs right now and for recognizing it in another.
With Kindness,
Susan

Susan,
Thanks.
It was such a relief to find you, sensible and compassionate at this time of fear and division. You have lifted the heavy weight of these days in a very selfless and profound way...you provided grace when grace is hidden from many.
In gratitude,
jon & sydney
