When a door closes on the past
When a door closes on the past . . .
we leave behind a way of being
an old identity implodes . . . sometimes even violently
because the old one is moving out
and a new one is being born
Falling deeper and deeper into wonder and silence
Feeling the universe meeting itself - in you
A deeper current, the spark of infinity
Just like the ocean never stops coming in and going out
we work on a tide system of more activity and less.
Daily the waters of this Earth inform us of all of nature's business . . .
If we pay attention and listen.
And also if we listen with a vast open mind . . .
Because the waters of our earth and of our being do not recognize labels
like: wild and civilized, culture and universe, being and becoming.
They flow through every possibility and every type of existence.
And link it all together.
Right now we are present for the closing of the gates of time
In the fire of our own freedom
Opening the parachute
Claiming our new wings
To have childlike fun . . . ask yourself what do you love?
Do you remember your song?
To bring back spring, that is our challenge
Not the annual spring, but perpetual spring
Raise ourselves up from Hadestown
And rediscover how to be
What a crazy good life it could be
What a crazy good life it is
